Esteem for Mother Teresa, Mother Teresa’s 99th birthday observed
Rich tributes were paid in Kolkata for Mother Teresa on her 99th Birthday on Wednesday, and a plea was made to the railway minister Mamata Banerjee to rename a Metrorail station, the Missionaries of Charity founder.
"Let us pray. Love is light, and finally, the only light that can always illuminate a world grown dim and give us courage to keep living and working," says Missionaries of Charity Superior General Sister Prema, a feature that Mother House, the global headquarters of the Albanian born nun who founded her order in 1950.
She has also played various facets of the Nobel laureate nun, who was blessed by Pope John Paul II, and as the title of St. Teresa of Calcutta.
All India Minority Forum presidents Idris Ali, who organized an all religions' prayer, called Mamata to rename a subway station for his mother.
