Soha Ali Khan Biography

Soha Ali Khan was born on October 4, 1978 in Mumbai, India, into one of the most famous families of India the popularly known as ‘the family of Nawabs’. Her father is ‘Tiger Padaudi’ the celebrated international cricketer, her mother Sharmila Tagore the famous actress of the 60’s and 70’s and of course her brother is the Bollywood sensation Master Saif Ali Khan. She studied History at Balliol College, Oxford University and has a Masters in International Relations from the London School of Economics.

She always knew that she was meant to be a Bollywood actress, but she decided to finish her studies before joining Bollywood as she knew once she embarked upon the journey of Bollywood returning to studies would be very difficult.

Soha was not lucky enough to make a smashing debut and her first Bollywood appearance Dil Maange More was a flop. Her acting skills were also criticized and Soha failed to make an impression on the audience. She soon silenced her critics with her her performance in the Bengali film Antar Mahal. Soha really came into the limelight with her appearance in the multi-starred super hit film Rand De Basanti where she got the opportunity to work with the likes of Aamir Khan. Soha’s performance in the film was also crirically acclaimed and she won the prestigious IIFA Best Supporting Actress Award. Soha would soon be appearing in the much awaited film Khoya Khoya Chand followed by Mumbai Meri Jaan and Airport.

Soha has been brought up in liberal way. She was given the freedom to travel where she wants to, have the friends she wants and take her own decisions. She was quite a hyperactive and a very friendly child. Soha was never a person who could be kept cooped up at one place and was always moving around, but she never bothered about her appearance. She didn't wear too much jewellery nor was very colour coordinated. She had also worked with Citibank and an NGO to get experience which would help her when she finally starts acting.

Bollywood damsel Soha Ali Khan was amongst the one who made a bold entry in a sizzling hot outfit. She flaunted her sexier side in a bold floral print dress with a plunging neckline. Soha's bold & beautiful appearance drew maximum eyeballs.

Apparently Kunal's forthcoming film TUM MILE stars Soha Ali Khan & Emraan Hashmi, which is soon expected to hit the floors.

Others who were seen at party were Bhatt favourite Emraan Hashmi with wife Parveen, director Mohit Suri who threw his birthday bash at the event held, Adhyayan Suman minus girlfriend Kangna Ranaut who was seen accompanying his forthcoming film JASHN co-star Anjana Sukhani, heartthrob Imraan Khan with his deary Avantika Malik, KALYUG star Kunal Khemu, JANNAT girl Sonal Chauhan and many others.

Interestingly this is the second time when beautiful Soha turned bold; first it was for maxim cover page where she showed off her oomph factor and now at this event. Also looking at Soha's film record than the pretty lass always played the girl-next door characters and remained away from doing sensuous roles. Now who knows whether this sexy public appearance was any hint to her new avatar in her upcoming film TUM MILE?

Soha and Kunal step out together

Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Khemu might be discreet about their relationship but it looks like they are now throwing caution to the wind.

On Thursday, a private screening of Kunal's film Jai-Veeru was held at Adlabs, Film City.

An onlooker saw the couple arriving and leaving together. The duo has been spotted together in public for the first time.

Anjana Sukhani, who also features in the film, attended the screening with her family, close friend Rehaan Khan and best friend Anita Hassanan-dani.

Music director Bappa Lahiri came in with girlfriend, Karishma Tanna.

A source at Film City reveals, "Kunal-Soha came together in Kunal's grey Volkswagen. They were in the back seats and Soha's friend was seated ahead with the driver.

The actors' friends had already arrived and were waiting for the couple to arrive. During the screening, Kunal sat with his friends while Soha sat behind him with Anjana Sukhani and the others."

The source continues, "Soha was seen cheering and clapping at Kunal's entry and his songs. Kunal and Anjana cut a cake in the interval and Soha was the first one to be fed by Kunal, leaving aside his producers.

The young couple was noticed happy together and were walking hand-in-hand after the screening."

Soha Ali Khan is an Indian actress better known for her parental heritage and cos of her brother, Saif Ali Khan. She is the daughter of the Nawab of Pataudi and the actress Sharmila Tagore, who was the queen of bollywood in her times and is now the chief of censor board of India.
Soha is highly educated with a masters in international affairs from the London School of Economics and has worked for international majors like Ford and Citibank. But like most, she realized that the real money was in Bollywood and moved into the film line. She hasn't had much success though although she was critically acclaimed for her role in "Rang De Basanti" and recently released "Khoya Khoya Chand" that was released in 2007.
