Post this!

Because Todd Redner called for a post... I'm posting! How bout them apples. Yeah, I don't have much time for drawing because all my time is devoted to 3D. These are some test with Mental Ray, using Global Illumination & Final Gather, and then 4 examples of HDRI lighting. Exciting stuff. I will draw soon, not that anyone really gives a damn. But I've also got some 2D stuff up my sleeve yall don't even know about, so stayed 'toon'd for that suckas!

Chris Hop and I'm gawn.

Too Lazy to Finish This

I just saw the new MGS4 Trailer... Makes me want to save $600 so I can by a PS3 and play that game. That is the prettiest looking game I've ever seen in my life. And after I get the 600 bones, I'ma save up enough for a HD-TV. Yeah, but first I gotta hit the lottery.

Long Time No Post

It has been a while since I've posted, and I drug some stuff up from the archives. So forgive me if you've seen this stuff befo.

Whistlin Will!

Forgive me if you already read this in the email I sent almost everyone I know, but my son is a genious. Yes, I'm sure your kid is too, but my son is more so! He is 18 months, and he knows half his alphabet, and not just saying them, he can tell you the sound they make and pick them out of a lineup. Yes, most kids at 18 months know where their eyes and ears are, but my son can tell you that the letter "W" makes the "whuh" sound. I am the proudest father. In this photo I just taught him how to whistle. He's practicing and can almost do it when he sucks the air in, but if I know my Will, I'm sure he'll have it down before I can blink!

Too Tired for Clever

I worked a 26 hour shift at this 3D place I've been freelancing, and after that, I just refused to do any work I was getting paid for. So to cleanse my soul, I pounded this out. Not as happy with it as I wanted to be. Please, my fellow colleagues, suggestions desired. And with that, I'm falling asleep.

Steven Silver Watch Your Back!

These are some charicatures from a couple months back when Joe, Ralph, Pierre and I went to Phipps to draw some folks. Dustin Hoffman, the old man, and Frankenstein are all Johnny Rockets employees. The Asian chick is a Wok N'Stix employee, and then we got a big ol dude enjoying his food court delights.

Painting Accident

Yeah, that's right, I do more than just cartoons! Little bit o illustration son. MX Photostrator Pro. That's my sister.

Damn, I got a big nose.

This is a charicature I did of my best friend and me. Lineart was done in Flash and colored in Photoshop. I'm becoming fond of Flash. Simple to use and really easy with my weak, at-home studio, rather than scanning and painting the ol fashion way. He was super difficult to charicature. He's got one of those perfect, "I'm a friggin model" faces with little to exagerate.

Artwork plus my boy!

Here's a recent photo of Will. He's just as sharp as he can be, and as sweet too. Now I remember why I dropped everything and moved 3000 miles, because for a minute there I almost forgot. He makes it all worth it.

Welcome Aboard

Thought I'd get down on this blog thing, since I've got a little time on my hands (and no television), and show the world (mostly my co-workers) a little extracurricular art work. I just hope to keep up with some of my competition (eg, the militant marker, t redd, joe apel, your name here). So I'ma do my best. Hope you likes what you see, and leave a comment. Most of all. DON'T FORGET ABOUT ME OUT HERE! Miss yall back Atlanta.
