Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan bagged another award. The Big B was adjudged Best Actor for his role in the movie ‘Paa’.
Mr Bachchan also completed his hat-trick of the national film awards. The 57th National film awards announced on Wednesday afternoon. Eminent director Rituparno Ghosh was declared Best Director for Bengali film Abohomaan.
As soon as the awards were announced, Big B's actor son Abhishek Bachchan wrote on microblogging site Twitter: I'm a proud father today.My son just won the national award for his performance in Paa!!!!!! "
Magadheera won Two National Awards, National Awards 2010 Announced
The Best Supporting actress award went to Arundhati Nag for her performance in award winning Paa.
The movie 'Delhi 6' claimed the award for national integrity while Aamir Khan's blockbuster '3 Idiots' won the national award in the most popular category.
Malayalam film 'Kutty Srank' was declared Best Film while Well Done Abba clinched the award for Best film on social issues.
And the Best Part for telugu viewers all over the world is that "Magadheera has won Two National Awards", namely, Best Special Effects and Best Choreography. K.Sivashankar won the Best Choreography Award for his moves in ‘Dheera Dheera' song and Kamal Kannan won the Best Special Effects for his creative services in the movie.
Best Actress award went in favour of Ananya Chatterjee for her role in Abohomaan.
