Toshiba hits back by bringing you a new line of external hard drives called the STOR.E ALU2. Available in both 2.5-inch (320GB, 500GB and 640GB) and 3.5-inch (500GB, 640GB, 1TB, 1.5TB and 2TB) form factors, these drives come equipped with an aluminum enclosure, a USB 2.0 interface, an 8MB of cache memory and promise to provide a transfer rate of up to 480 MB/s. The STOR.E ALU2 External Hard Drives will hit Europe, Middle East and Africa later this month, however, there’s no word on pricing yet. [Press Release]
