Getting back in the public spotlight for the first time since her adoption announcement and husband's affair scandal, Sandra Bullock was looking fabulous at Spike TV's Guys Choice Awards in Los Angeles, California on Saturday (June 5).
Though she avoided the arrivals carpet and backstage press room, the Oscar-winning actress took the stage to accept the "Troops Choice" Award for Entertainer of the Year from Robert Downey, Jr. and military family members at the Sony Pictures Studios venue.
Clad in a black, leather minidress, the "Blind Side" beauty told the crowd, "Let's be honest here, just for a moment. We're all going to be honest, right? Did I win this for being entertainer of the year, or did I win this because of the spectacular I.E.D. [improvised explosive device] explosion that became my personal life?!"
Continuing on, Miss Bullock added, "No, it's okay. Because I would do it over again if it was to entertain our troops, and our extraordinary troops deserve something much more than some actress in a tight dress talking herself."
With the crowd eating up her speech, the 45-year-old finished up by saying, "I would sing, but you've seen enough pain in your lifetime. I would dance – I'm a pretty good dancer, but as I mentioned, the dress is pretty tight."
